His "Detroit State Of Mind" mixtapes and first solo album The Hybrid were a great start for the artist, allowing him to start a loyal following on the East Coast and Midwest.
2011 has been his biggest year so far, when he released XXX as a free download when he signed to Fool’s Gold. The album didn’t go unnoticed by the masses, garnering an 8.2/10 from Pitchfork who named it the 19th best album of 2011, and the best hip hop album of the year by Spin. He also dropped Black and Brown, a highly lauded collaboration with producer/rapper Black Milk that also reeived high reviews from publications.
2012 has been a banner year for Danny, starting off with a feature in XXL Magazine as one of the members of their 2012 Freshmen Class (joined by 2011/2012 Soundset artist Macklemore). Showing no signs of slowing down this year, he’s already been featured on several tracks this year with artists like Tony Yayo (G-unit), A-Trak and Juciy J, Ab-Soul, and more!
