Get ready for Action Bronson at Soundset 2012

Bringing Queens to Minnesota!

Flushing, Queens, NYC native Action Bronson has had a banner year in 2012. Coming off of a whirlwind 2011, the gourmet chef-turned-rapper has been making some serious noise all over the world and is ready to hold it down at Soundset on May 27th. No reservations are required to see Action cook up a feast on stage for y’all - just get your tickets today!

Tickets can be purchased now via TicketWeb.com and in-store at Fifth Element. General admission tickets are $41 ($3 facility fee and parking are included in ticket price). If you’re 18+, VIP options for $90 are also available! Click here to find out what VIP includes.

What first put him on the map was his voice, (which sounds much like another Soundset 2012 performer, Ghostface Killah). That’s where the similarities stop, however…Action routinely mixes in his vast knowledge of the culinary arts in his music, as well as many elements from his upbringing in Queens, one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the country, not to mention his panache for wild imagery and storytelling. He’s since distinguished himself from any other rapper out at the moment, and with his newfound rise to fame he has had the opportunity to collaborate with none other than Ghostface, as well as Bun B, The Alchemist, Cormega, Saigon, Statik Selektah, AG Da Coroner, Riff Raff, Termanology, and more! Big things are expected from “Bronsilini” in 2012, as he prepares to drop THREE projects (he’s already put out one this year) with The Alchemist, Harry Fraud, and Tommy Mas, the latter being his collaborator on his debut album Dr. Lecter that brought him into the hip hop limelight in early 2011.

In late 2011, he teamed up with East Coast heavyweight producer Statik Selektah and dropped Well-Done with features from Nina Sky, M.O.P.‘s Lil’ Fame, and frequent collaborator and friend Meyhem Lauren. Buy now at Fifth Element.

Most recently, Action cooked up a project called Blue Chips with up-and-coming producer Party Supplies, in which they only sampled videos from YouTube. The project was recorded in only a few weeks and the artists recorded the entire project in the same room together. It was released in March as a free download courtesy of Reebok Classic and Complex Magazine. Download HERE for free.

Check out a few visuals below and get ready for Action Bronson’s Soundset debut in less than two months:
